Geaux Get Healthy Clinical Program

The Geaux Get Healthy Clinical Program at Our Lady of the Lake bridges community engagement and healthcare, seeking to improve food insecurity and promote a sense of community throughout Baton Rouge. We want to connect food-insecure community members to nutrition education, access to affordable food and health resources. This program also helps our team develop new ways to improve health in the community.

The program is ongoing, and eligible participants can join at any point. Geaux Get Healthy welcomes all ages as we work to combat obesity in both children and adults.

Geaux Get Healthy consists of a coalition of local organizations working collaboratively to reduce food insecurity in our community’s highest-needs neighborhoods, and to co-create a thriving local food landscape. As part of their public-private partnership established in 2013, Our Lady of the Lake Health and LSU Health Sciences work together to expand access to care and health resources through the clinical program.
