June 17, 2026
BATON ROUGE, La. – FMOL Health | Our Lady of the Lake is advancing plans for the future home of the Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Institute, a multi-million dollar investment that will expand access to advanced cancer care for patients in Baton Rouge, across Louisiana and throughout the Gulf South.
“This investment represents a defining moment for cancer care in our region,” said E.J. Kuiper, President and CEO of FMOL Health. “We are building more than a facility. We are creating a place of hope, healing and innovation where patients and families can access advanced, compassionate cancer care close to home.”
The building, formerly home to The Bone and Joint Clinic, will undergo a full renovation to create a dedicated destination for cancer care.
“At Our Lady of the Lake, our mission is rooted in caring for the whole person, especially during life’s most challenging moments,” said Chuck Spicer, President of FMOL Health | Our Lady of the Lake. “The future home of the Cancer Institute reflects our commitment to serving this community with dignity and purpose as we continue to answer a growing need for cancer care across Louisiana.”
The project builds on the Cancer Institute’s continued growth and momentum as a regional destination for cancer care. By bringing key resources together near Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, the facility will strengthen access to specialized services and support a more coordinated experience for patients and families.
“At Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Institute, we are focused on delivering highly specialized care that is connected, personal and easier for patients to navigate,” said Susan Foret, Vice President, FMOL Health | Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Institute. “This new space gives us the opportunity to align advanced treatment options, support services and care teams in a way that better supports patients throughout their healthcare journey.”
Construction and renovation plans are expected to move forward, with additional project updates to be shared as work progresses.
