Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System Launches Season 4 of ParentingU Podcast

Empowering Parents for the Tween/Teen Journey

Baton Rouge, LA – Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System (FMOLHS) proudly announces the Season 4 launch of the ParentingU podcast, which provides parents with valuable insights and resources for navigating the journey of parenthood.

Season 4 focuses on topics related to tweens and teens. With more than 10,000 downloads and 3,000 video views of its first seasons, the podcast has established its relevance and impact, solidifying its position as a go-to resource for parents in this critical phase of parenting.

“Podcasts have the remarkable ability to bridge gaps and create communities. ParentingU embodies this spirit by fostering a supportive network for parents,” said host Stephanie Roussell, senior director of brand at FMOLHS. “In Season 4, we’re excited to further enrich this platform, offering guidance, understanding, and a sense of unity among our listeners as they navigate this transformative journey of parenthood.”

This season’s episodes, to be released through February, cover crucial topics such as sleep patterns, responsible driving, caffeine use, hormones and healthy eating, sports injuries, adolescent medicine, puberty including first periods, and vaccinations.

In the season's first episode, Natalie Derouen, MD, a pediatrician with Our Lady of Lourdes Children’s Health, chats with Stephanie about tween and teen sleep offering valuable guidance for parents and teens to develop healthier sleep habits. “As a provider, I’m thrilled to contribute expertise to this podcast, addressing vital topics that impact the health and well-being of adolescents,” Dr. Derouen says.
