Patient Navigator

Navigation and Support

We recognize that a cancer diagnosis affects the lives of our patients and their loved ones in many ways. Our patient navigators are licensed social workers and registered nurses who are here to provide you with support based on your individual diagnosis during and after your treatment. Patient navigators are available at no additional cost to ensure you receive the best care possible.

What do patient navigators do?

  • Identify and assist with possible barriers to care such as transportation, social or emotional support, and financial concerns
  • Provide you and your loved ones with strategies to cope with the stresses of living with a cancer diagnosis
  • Provide educational information on your cancer diagnosis and coping with treatment
  • Help access other services within the cancer center including nutritional counseling, tobacco cessation, survivorship
