Here in Acadiana, excellence is a way of life. It drives every practice, every play and every patient we serve. At Our Lady of Lourdes Health, we’re proud to partner with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to strengthen not just the health of Ragin’ Cajuns athletes and fans, but the health of our region as a whole. Together, we’re building a foundation for long-term success in education, healthcare and community development.
This partnership isn't limited to the practice field and game day. By investing in the university’s facilities, programs and people, we’re helping shape the future of Acadiana, one student, one patient and one family at a time.
State-of-the-art equipment in training rooms and on the field keep student-athletes performing at their peak. Healthcare scholarships and clinical training create pipelines for the next generation of nurses, therapists and physicians. And, in our own hospitals, you’ll find Ragin’ Cajuns alumni — many of them former athletes — leading with the same drive and purpose they brought to the field.
We also provide comprehensive surgical care for injured athletes right here in Lafayette. From orthopedic procedures to advanced, minimally invasive robotic surgery, we deliver precision care designed to support a full, speedy and lasting recovery.
Together, we’re building a healthier, stronger community for generations to come.

Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death in the nation, claiming nearly 950,000 lives in 2022 – more than all forms of cancer and chronic lower respiratory disease combined, according to the American Stroke Association. An estimated 17.6% of those deaths were caused by stroke.
We’re investing annually in advanced care and treatment options, so your loved ones receive the care they need when they need it most. Our Lady of Lourdes Health and Ragin’ Cajuns Athletics team up each spring to Strike Out a Stroke. Every strike out thrown by Ragin’ Cajuns Baseball and Softball teams during the series equals a $100 donation to fund American Stroke Association research and prevention efforts.
