Ollie Steele Burden Manor (OSBM) is a private-pay nursing facility established in 1966 as an affiliate of FMOL Health | Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. We are a licensed 174-bed facility that is designed to provide for many levels of care, including the most complex physical health issues. We offer some of the best nurse-to-resident ratios in the area, often surpassing local standards to ensure more personalized care.

Our home includes dining rooms with wood floors and virtual fireplaces. Residents and families also enjoy welcoming living rooms with flat-screen televisions and access to courtyards that showcase our landscaping and natural surroundings.

Admissions Procedure

Each resident at Ollie Steele Burden Manor must be admitted by a licensed physician and remain under the supervision of a physician who is licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners.

Applicants for admission are assessed by one of our professional staff to determine if their needs can be met by OSBM.

Skilled Care
- Residents are admitted from the hospital after a three-night stay
- Tell your hospital case manager you choose Ollie Steele (if chosen)
- Business development specialist or marketing liaison will arrange your stay and paperwork
- We check all Medicare/insurance benefits (first 20 Medicare days pay in full)
Long-Term Care
- Business development specialist or marketing liaison will coordinate your paperwork and admission process
- We only accept private pay
- We help with long term care insurance paperwork

- Spa-like bathing experience includes towel warmers, relaxing music, lighting and aromatherapy
- Dining experience features home style kitchenettes with hot meals of your choice delivered directly to your dining table or your room
- Seven-day selective menu offers a variety of meal options “Anytime” menu offers more breakfast, lunch and dinner items like salads and sandwiches
- Snacks are available 24 hours daily from the Nourishment Center or delivered to your room, if desired
- Private rooms are available
