Cardiac Rehabilitation

What is Cardiac Rehab?

Cardiac rehabilitation (often referred to as cardiac rehab) is a medically supervised program that helps patients recover quickly and provides knowledge to prevent future heart issues. Medicare and most insurance companies will cover cardiac rehab for a patient if they have had:

  • Angioplasty
  • Coronary artery bypass graft
  • Heart attacks within the last year
  • Heart/lung transplant
  • Heart valve repair or replacement
  • Stable angina
  • Heart failure

Our Program

Typically will last 6-12 weeks; (18-36 sessions; 2-3 times a week)
All patients in the program will be placed on a heart monitor during all exercises. Sessions will last approximately one hour.
Each session will consist of:

  • Aerobic training — treadmill and stationary bike
  • Resistance training — machines with added weight (pulleys)
  • Both training forms have been proven to improve one’s overall health
  • Educational programs are offered, given by guest speakers and program staff members
  • All sessions are supervised by our ACLS-certified team, medical director, registered nurses and an exercise physiologist
  • A doctor is always on staff during every session

Other Services

We also offer pulmonary rehabilitation for patients with lung diseases. This can include COPD. If this applies to you or someone you may know, please contact us today so we can improve your functional ability and knowledge.

Enroll Today

All patients must have a physician referral to be admitted into the program. If you have any questions, please contact us. We are happy to help you by answering any questions and, if needed, contact your physician to see about your eligibility.
