Baton Rouge, LA. – FMOL Health| Our Lady of the Lake proudly celebrates a major achievement in surgical care as Dr. Daryl Marx, MD, FACS, one of the South’s top robotic surgeons, completes his 5,000th robotic-assisted surgery, a milestone achieved by only a select few surgeons nationwide. This achievement expands access to advanced surgical care for patients in Baton Rouge and the surrounding region, bringing world-class procedures closer to home.The Our Lady of the Lake Robotic Surgery Institute provides patients with access to cutting-edge procedures, eliminating the need to travel to larger metropolitan centers for advanced care.

The Robotic Surgery Institute uses the latest Intuitive da Vinci robotic systems, which gives surgeons enhanced precision, dexterity, and 3D visualization. These tools enable minimally invasive procedures across multiple specialties, including general surgery, urology, gynecology, and ear, nose, and throat, often resulting in smaller incisions, and improved patient outcomes.
