FMOL Health Earns Summa Cum Laude Distinction on Epic's Honor Roll for the Third Time
March 02, 2026
Baton Rouge, LA – FMOL Health is proud to announce that it has once again earned the Summa Cum Laude distinction on Epic’s Honor Roll, marking the third time the health system has achieved the highest recognition awarded through Epic’s Honor Roll Good Maintenance Grant Program. This prestigious honor reflects FMOL Health’s continued commitment to excellence in optimizing its electronic health record (EHR) system to strengthen patient care, clinical workflows, and organizational performance.
Epic’s Honor Roll Good Maintenance Grant Program recognizes healthcare organizations that adopt Epic’s best practices and implement advanced capabilities that improve patient outcomes, workflow efficiency, data analytics, cross-system connectivity, and system reliability. The program evaluates participants across multiple components, including ease of use for providers, enterprise data and analytics, financial performance, health information exchange, infrastructure stability, patient experience, population health, and staying up to date with Epic’s latest features. Achieving Summa Cum Laude requires completing all program components, making it the highest achievement level.
“Earning the Summa Cum Laude distinction for the third time speaks to the incredible dedication and collaboration of our teams across the ministry,” said Will Landry, senior vice president and chief information officer of FMOL Health. “We’ve worked hard to ensure our technology environment not only meets today’s needs but positions us for the future. This recognition affirms that our efforts are making a meaningful difference in enhancing stability, improving patient experience, and supporting the clinicians who rely on Epic every day.”
As part of this year’s recognition, FMOL Health received a $755,000 grant to further advance EHR optimization and innovation across the ministry. Achieving the Summa Cum Laude tier places FMOL Health among a select group of health systems nationwide, with industry reports noting that only a limited number reach this level each year due to the rigor of Epic’s best‑practice requirements and the significant impact these efforts have on care quality, efficiency, and the overall patient experience.
FMOL Health’s repeated achievement of the Summa Cum Laude distinction underscores the organization’s ongoing commitment to digital transformation, system reliability, and building a technology foundation that supports exceptional, patient‑centered care.
