New Wound Care Clinic Opens at Our Lady of the Lake Ascension

January 24, 2024

Residents of greater Ascension Parish now have access to care for serious wounds nearby. Our Lady of the Lake Ascension opened its new wound care clinic within the hospital at 1125 W. Hwy. 30 in Gonzales.

Our Lady of the Lake Wound Care Clinic treats patients with non-healing wounds that require an advanced level of care. Wounds typically treated at the center include those that are chronic and especially difficult to heal, such as diabetic, venous and pressure ulcers. The clinic is an outpatient center offering comprehensive wound care.

“We are pleased to offer this service to the residents of Ascension Parish and beyond. Wounds that are difficult to heal are very common. Providing state-of-the-art care locally lessens the burden on patients and family members and enhances the chances for recovery and improved quality of life,” said Heather Runnels, Vice President of Patient Care Services.

The clinic will be open on Tuesday and Wednesday each week. For more information or to make an appointment, call (225) 647-5060.
