Jackson, MS – St. Dominic Hospital vice president and chief nursing officer, Tracey Smithson, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, has been named as one of the ‘2024 Women of Influence’ by Fierce Healthcare. Since early 2023, Smithson has served as the CNO for St. Dominic’s, part of the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System (FMOLHS).

“We are so proud to have Tracey as a part of our team,” said St. Dominic’s market president Jeremy Tinnerello, RN, MSN, MHA. “She is a driven and focused leader who plays an essential role in enhancing the services at St. Dominic’s while offering valuable leadership and support to our incredible nursing staff.”

Smithson has nearly two decades of healthcare leadership experience. She has worked tirelessly to facilitate strong collaborative relationships with hospital providers while promoting efficient operations.

“I view my role with two main goals: to remove barriers for nurses at the bedside in caring for patients and to ensure nurses have a voice that is heard and valued,” said Tracey Smithson, CNO at St. Dominic’s and ‘2024 Women of Influence’ honoree.
