Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Announces Retirement and Transition of Chief Marketing Officer

Baton Rouge, LA — Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System’s (FMOLHS) Chief Marketing Officer, Catherine Harrell, has announced plans to retire in January of 2023. Harrell has supported the system’s marketing and communications efforts for the last 26 years, serving as its first Chief Marketing Officer since 2018. In that time, she has led some of the health system’s largest marketing and communications efforts and made significant contributions to the organization’s success.
“I’m blessed to have committed so much of my career to this mission and the Sisters who have shaped my perspective and leadership,” said Harrell. “I’m also grateful to incredibly talented mentors and colleagues as we’ve tackled tough healthcare challenges with compassion and authenticity in our service to those most in need. The good work and positive impact of this ministry is vital and always unfolding,”
Janice Lamy has been named Chief Marketing Officer, effective September 12, 2022. Janice brings more than 30 years of healthcare marketing and communications experience to the role, having worked in faith-based, not-for-profit and for-profit health systems across the Gulf South. For the past four years, she has served as the health system’s Vice President of Marketing.
“Catherine has guided our ministry through countless natural disasters, our entry into social and digital marketing and our move towards a unified brand identity. I have personally appreciated Catherine’s knowledge, expertise and counsel and we are eternally grateful for her service over the years,” stated Richard Vath, MD, FMOLHS Chief Executive Officer, “While Catherine’s skill and wisdom will be missed, I am excited to see the future of our marketing and communications efforts as Janice builds upon the strong foundation already in place.”
