Baton Rouge, LA — Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System (FMOLHS) proudly announces the Season 5 launch of the ParentingU podcast, which provides parents with valuable insights and resources for navigating the journey of parenthood.

Season 5, hosted by Stephanie Roussell, focuses on parenting during the summer months. With more than 10,000 downloads and 3,000 video views from earlier seasons, ParentingU continues to grow as a go-to resource for families across Louisiana and Mississippi.

ParentingU has become a trusted companion for parents, helping them feel informed, supported and empowered,” said Stephanie Roussell, senior director of brand and strategy at FMOLHS. “In Season 5, we’re taking that support into the summer, covering timely topics so families can focus on what matters most, enjoying time together.”

This season’s eight episodes, released every Thursday through July, will explore topics including water safety, road trips, bug bites, ADHD and seasonal allergies.

In the season's third episode, Keep Kids Safe Around Water, Kristen Sandoz, MD, a pediatrician with Our Lady of Lourdes Children’s Health joins Stephanie to share important guidance for parents on keeping children safe around pools, beaches and water parks, along with tips for staying hydrated in the summer heat. “I’m honored to be part of this season,” said Dr. Kristen Sandoz. “Summer should be a time of fun and connection for families, and with just a few simple precautions, parents can feel more confident knowing their children are safe around water.”

Each episode features a different FMOLHS pediatric provider and is accompanied by related resources, including blog content, visuals and social media tips. ParentingU aims to meet parents where they are, offering encouragement, expertise and health education.
