As Program Director, I am proud to lead the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-New Orleans (LSUHSC-NO) Rural Family Medicine Residency Program in Bogalusa. We are one of a few rural programs in the country that prepare you for full-scope family medicine practice setting that is mostly rural and community-based throughout your three years of training. Our Lady of the Angels Health (OLOA) in Bogalusa is a strong partner where we offer most of your rotations and family medicine continuity patient care in an unopposed environment. There are a few rotations in New Orleans and Baton Rouge. As a part of LSU you have full access to the resources of the academic medical center in New Orleans. Our graduates are well educated and trained to practice as hospitalists, outpatient docs and faculty physicians in both rural and urban locations.
We welcome your inquiries and applications, as well as requests for acting internship opportunities that will give you a fuller appreciation of our paradigm of training and excellent clinical care that we strive to provide. Learn more about our program at fmolhs.org.
