What to Expect When You Have a Baby at One of Our Hospitals

Our philosophy of care is family-centric, which means keeping you close to your newborn and allowing easy access for your partner, spouse or support person. Choose a Pediatrician Before Your Baby is Born

Your Labor and Delivery Experience

Let your care team know which amenities and services you want. That way, we will know ahead of time what will help make your stay with us complete.

Maternity Amenities for Mom and Baby

  • Skin-to-skin bonding, or Kangaroo Care
  • Rooming-in
  • HALO bassinets swivel sleepers (for moms having a C-section at Our Lady of Lourdes Women’s & Children’s Hospital)
  • Designated quiet time 2-4 p.m. daily
  • Pacifiers and/or formula welcomed (if requested)
  • Breastfeeding support is provided by certified lactation consultants seven days a week
