Applicants must meet the following criteria for acceptance into the Volunteer program:
The Greater Baton Rouge market accepts volunteer applications year-round. However, activity opportunities vary by location.
The volunteer onboarding process takes approximately four weeks to complete. Initial applications are reviewed once a week and responded to in order of receipt. Once processed, candidates will be invited to a Q&A session with one of our team members at which time the process for obtaining the background check and required immunization tests will be discussed. Each candidate will have three weeks to complete the required testing. Applications not fully processed (completion of requirements) within four weeks will be made inactive.

Our service standards reflect the level of service we provide to every customer. The service standards apply to every hospital team member, including contract and temporary team members and volunteers. These standards apply for all customers, whether they are patients and their families, physicians, other employees or volunteers. We use them daily in every interaction with every customer.
