Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge serves as the main campus and central hub for our statewide network of pediatric healthcare. With six floors, our hospital has more than 360,000 square feet and 99 patient beds. Each area of the hospital was designed to echo a different part of Louisiana's diverse culture, landscape and natural resources.

Our children’s hospital is home to one of only eight expanded St. Jude Affiliate Clinics in the U.S.,and one of the only pediatric emergency rooms in Louisiana staffed 24/7 by physicians certified in pediatric emergency medicine. It’s also home to the region’s only Level II pediatric trauma program.

With the state’s largest team of pediatric specialists, we meet the unique needs of children and families, providing comprehensive, highest quality healthcare for children of all ages. We have specialists on campus 24/7, and our hospital features five operating rooms and three procedural rooms.

Our Siemens MAGNETOM Vida 3T MRI machine offers clearer, more detailed images in a space made just for children. Wrapped in playful artwork and supported by Child Life Specialists, this MRI makes imaging more approachable — even fun. This technology is especially helpful for detailed scans of the brain, joints and other small, intricate areas. Children who need sedation benefit from faster scans, helping reduce the time under sedation and improving comfort. Because when it comes to caring for kids, every detail counts.
